Cannot delete print jobs?

I have an HP deskjet 3550 -usb Printer. I cannot seem to get aborted print jobs to delete, even when I restart my pc. Always get message saying "document pending" in launch bar at bottom of screen. So far, a complete disconnect and reconnect might work..I have the right driver and usb resources to run the device. What next to check??

try to disconnect your printer and the goto control panel / administrative tools / services / and stop the service called : print spooler and start it again then reconnect your printer

I knew you had an HP printer before I ever finished reading this question - I have an HP printer and it is driving me crazy. I have two computer techs in the family and they have done everything under the sun with this danged thing. The only way I can get out of that is to shut off the computer (not just reboot, shut it down completely) for a little while. I wouldn't recommend an HP printer to anyone - even their techs can't help or just have you reinstall drivers or download new ones...gets very, very old. To the people telling you to go into your printer icon via the Control Panel screen, forget it - when it starts doing this, there is no deleting the jobs. It's like being pecked to death by a duck.

Right click on the icon and a list of options should come up and then you can delete the print jobs. Or



Control panel-->open printer and see what jobs are pending--> right click on them and the options come up and choose delete

I have the same problem on HP1660. Deleting print jobs does not work. Have to shut down the PC. Sometinmes that doesn't worka nd I have to do it several times. Would not attach another HP printer to my PC, ever

Do this, start→configuration→printers and faxes, look for you HP deskjet 3550, double click on it, your job will be displayed there.

Right click on it, delete or cancel and ready.

have you right clicked on your printer and the when it opens you should be able to cancel all print jobs in ques,

or another thing would be to take it out and reload it.or go in to add printer and remove and redo it there also.
