I was trying to print some music that I had gotten off my Church's website when my paper jammed. After unjamming it the first time, it kept jamming, so I went into the printer queue and selected cancel for the print job. That was yesterday morning. The print job is still waiting in the queue and I can't get it to cancel. Because it's there, nothing else will print until it either prints or cancels. Even turning off the computer and rebooting didn't do anything. Is there a way to get it off my printer or do I have to wait for it to cancel? If so, is there some sort of glitch that's causing it not to cancel and how can I fix this? We need the printer for my husband's homework assignments that are due soon.

all you have to do is on the bottom right hand corner of the screen (where the time shows) there should be a mini sized printer picture on the set of icons. Right click on the small printer and go to print jobs and you can have full access to all the jobs that the printer was assigned origannaly to print out.

combating a printer mid-interest is usually needed while a print has been ordered erroneously, or to dodge wastage. besides the actuality that one preliminary reaction may be to disconnect the printer, that isn't incredibly useful, and particular won't remedy your subject. counting on your kind of printer, you have get right of entry to to a 'cancel print' button on the exterior of the printer unit. pressing this could end your present day printing interest. on the different hand, maximum application programmes furnish the possibility to cancel printing mid interest in the direction of the appliance, quite than hardware, this is the two as valuable inspite of make or kind.

I hate it when that happens!

Two things to do:

1. Restart the Print Spooler service. (Start > Run > services.msc > Print Spooler)

2. Delete the job from it's temporary file. (C: > Windows > System32 > Spool > Printers).

You may need to restart the Print Spooler service again, but with the temporary file gone, it should soon clear from your print queue.

Hope it helps.

Unplug your printer, and also shut your computer down.
