Question:
Why is my HP printer not feeding paper properly?

I have a HP deskjet 1050 j410 printer and every time I go to print something the paper will either 1) get fed crookedly or 2) simply get jammed. I have tried turning the printer on and off (I have even strayed from using it for about a week and half but to no success). I have also tried cleaning the rollers inside the machine and checking for any thing that may have gotten stuck inside the feeder, but it is all absolutely clear.

I know I am running low on my black ink, but would that really affect how the paper is being fed into the printer/overall performance of it?

Thanks in advanced

This issue occurs due to any of the below reasons:

* If the paper is not properly loaded.

* If the paper is wrinkled.

* Due to dust in the paper feed rollers.

* The print on the paper is skewed.

* The paper exceeds the printer specifications.

* An obstruction is blocking the paper path

have you checked the paper guides in the paper tray? if they are not set properly the paper will not feed in straight.
