my ink cartridge is leaking?

i have a canon inkjet printer MP 160 , its in the warranty period, now the color ink cartridge is leaking when i contacted the shopkeeper he told that it can't be replaced, now what should i do? please help me.

If its just the cartridge, get a new one. Ink cartridges usually do not fall under warranty. If you get a new one and its still leaking, could be the printer and I would contact canon and not the store you got it from.

Write to canon and say that thanks to their faulty poor quality cartridges you have decided to buy the fakes that cost a fourth and work equaly well without the problems of leaking.

Also suggest that they should stop manufacturing ink cartridges, as they havent perfected the art unlike the ones that make the fake ones. Besides the fakes probably come with a warranty.

TRY TO FIND A STORE THAT HAS GOOD RETURN POLICY



TRY WAL MART SUPERCENTER IN YOUR HOLY CITY -- IF NOT -- GO TO CITY COUNCIL AND ASK IF YOUR HOLY CITY CAN HAVE ONE



BUT IF THE WARRANTY IS GOOD -- ASK TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER OF THE STORE -- OR GO TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE



SOMETIMES IT IS BETTER TO GO TO THE PROPER CHANNELS



OR JUST GO IN ANOTHER DAY WHEN THAT PERSON IS NOT THERE



BUT ARE YOU SURE IT IS LEAKING?

THESE CARTRIDGES ARE USUALLY FOOL PROOF -- UNLESS IT CRACKED



MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT ADD ANYTING TO IT



I KNOW THAT THERE IS A REFIL INK -- BUT I HAVE NEVER TRIED IT -- I WAS ADVISE NOT TO



DUE TO IT LEAKS AND SMEARS WHEN IT PRINT



IF YOUR CATRIDGE IS NOT PRINTING -- TAKE OFF THE PROTECTIVE SHIELD ON THE FRONT WHERE THE INK COMES OUT OF YOUR CATRIDGE



THEN TEST PRINT

If you are using original canon cartridge it can be replaced.contact the canon service centre otherwise the printer can be damaged due to the ink,that time you wont get the warranty support also.

you better buy new cartridge.. leaking problem cannot be solved!!!! your catridge may be faulty.but it happenes with original cartridges also.and as its leaking,it cannot be refilled.

contact the cannon for help if you have the purchase proof then you can get free replcement of the catradge from india
