Microsoft Word won't let me add a printer.?

Question

I keep getting this "Active Directory Domain Service unavailable" message when I try to add a printer. I made sure I had all the drivers already and I'm a few minutes away from throwing my computer and printer at the wall. I ran through the troubleshooter three different times, and I still can't get anywhere.

My printer that I'm trying to add is an HP deskjet 3050 and I'm running Windows 7, 64-bit operating system if that helps at all.

Try this as a possible fix, strange I know, but it's been known to work:



Open Notepad and try finding the printer from that application and add it from there.

sounds like a virulent disease might have corrupted your report. if that's the case, then that's in all threat unrecoverable. while you're on a networked computing device, then possibly your community force is presently inaccessible. in any different case, attempt 'My cutting-edge archives' on the beginning up Menu. solid luck
