I have a hp 4315v all-in-one and my boyfriend was snooping around in my computer, is there a way I can see what he printed if he printed at all? Even if my computer was restarted?

There's no way to see what was printed unless he printed it to file before printing to paper. You can always try looking at the most recent documents that were opened...if you're using a PC then you should be able to find your most recent docs in the start menu -> documents/recent documents. If he did something online just check your browser history. Also, try checking your temporary internet files. If you don't know how go to "tools" on your internet browser menu bar...then to internet options then to "settings" under the temporary internet files section. Then click "view files" you will see all the files stored in your computer from webpages he may have visited, etc.

Hi,

There is a change that you can see the history of documents that were used/open/modified. Unless it has been clear or disabled. To try go to

Start -> Documents -> See if there is a list displayed

of not it has been cleared.

Another thing you could check is to see which documents are recently opened/modified/used. Try the following

Start Windows-Explorer, click on the search button and

fill in the fields as required, like date/time

Be aware that this list can be getting very long...if the time frame is taken too long..

Trust issues aside, you *can* look at what recent documents your boyfriend has looked at, if you're on a PC, then from the taskbar, you hit:

Start -> My Recent Documents

and you should see what word, video picture, text, and any other data you and your bf have looked at most recently.

Trust issues now on the front burner, why would you want to see what your bf has printed? I doubt he would need to print porn or a message to a suspected cheater, so I don't even know why you need to see what he printed. Maybe directions...?

No. You can't see what's previously been printed on your printer. You can see what documents are in line to print while it's working if you open the print queue, but even once those are done printing, all record of them is gone.

Your printer can only reprint faxes.

There is a lot of missing trust in your relationship... I wonder if you guys have a reason not to trust each other? Or maybe you have damaging material material on your computer? Who knows... not my business.

unfortunately i dont think so. Sounds like you have more issues with your boyfriend than you know. I would set a password on your computer... something not obvious.

This looks like the best solution for your problem, although probably not ideal:

Good luck!
