I just updated my computer from vista to 7 and when I tried to print a document, learned that my printer had become un-installed in the process. Figuring I just needed a quick re-install I grabbed the disc, popped it into the drive, but after clicking "install" a message pops-up, alerting me that the CD does not contain the drivers for my OS and to go to the Brother Solutions Center. So I do, and after installing the listed drivers and firmware update (which says that I have the latest update), and attempting again (and again) to install my printer, I keep getting the same message about lacking drivers. I've tried doing some Google searches, and while others have had similar problems, I haven't found anything that helps me. Anyone know how to fix?

Your processor (a Core 2 Duo) is a 64-bit processor, so you can install the 64-bit version of Windows 7. Since your machine is fairly recent, there should be 64-bit drivers for all of your components. And the drivers are very stable- it was only when people first started switching to 64-bit (5 years ago) that there were problems.
