I have a A2 size PDF document (appox. 4 times the size of A4). I want to print it on my A4 size laser printer on 4 pages. Top left, top right, bottom left and bottom right. Is there anyway I can do this? I suppose this is called tiling? If anyone knows please answer. Thanks in advance.

I don't know if u can use any CAD software or AutoCAD because in any other way u may not be able have a perfect tiling.

U can convert pdf to image file by copying the area required in Adobe reader or foxit reader and paste in into either powerpoint and then save as image ( Only if u don't know how to use photoshop )

U can also use powerpoint for the same purpose ( i mean printing, copying only one fourth area and pasting it into powerpoint ) but u may lose scale and may not be able to combine them later.

So try to find someone who can help u using CAD, as I can't tell u here how to use CAD

You can install a printing tool called fineprint. This virtual printer will ride over your default printer and help you to, not only to save on paper but on ink as well. You can print any number of pages on the single A4 sheets by reducing the print size to your desired size. As the font gets reduced, the print quality is also enhanced for better legibility. I think this is a free shareware. If you can not find this tool, let me know your mail ID and I will have it mailed to you !!!

Open the PDF file in Adobe Photoshop CS3, Select the page from Import PDF dialogue box, then crop the particular area and resize it to A4 size.

If your printer has printer a poster setting it is that that you will need to enable you to print one document onto 4 sheets.

Go to you printer preferences and on the page layout their should be a page layout setting menu. Scroll down it to print a poster and click specificis and then it takes you to the menu that you set for how many sheets you want your one to be printed in to - which in you case is 2x2 which is the 4 you want.
