I have Windows 7 Starter and I've been trying to install a printer. It never installs correctly. If I just plug it in, it automatically installs but doesn't install correctly because under devices and printers there is a yellow triangle with exclamation that says it needs trouble shooting. When I try to trouble shoot it says that installing driver may be needed. So I have tried to install driver directly from HP site and it always freezes during install. It just gives message like "Printer connected. Please wait while PnP finishes installing" & it will stay that way for hours if I let it. Even after I unplug printer, the message stays the same when it's obviously not plugged in. I've also went to WIndows site to make sure it's compatible and it says it is. I assume that means it should automatically install but that's not happening. As of now I deleted the printer from devices.

Unplug the printer, install the latest HP software, then plug in the printer when it tells you to.

Here's the HP drivers for the LaserJet P2035. If you have the P2035n that's a different version, and you'll need to search the HP drivers website for the drivers.
