HP Laserjet 4 Plus - Error: 79 SERVICE(01BF)?

Question

When I try to print from certain excel documents, it refuses to print and brings the error message 79 SERVICE(01BF)
For other Documents, the (01BF) may be substituted by another combination of 2 digits and 2 letters in brackets.
Please help, it's driving me insane coz I can't print what i want!
I have bough a brand new tonner (98A), but same story

Replace toner cartridge as recommended by the error code -- unplug any accessories you may have added to the printer. Here is the offical word on Error 79:

Software/drivers, Memory PCA's, Font-Macro-Personality Cartridges, option I/O Cards. Defective toner cartridge in the Laserjet 4 Plus only. Remove any accessories (font cartridges, memory PCA's, SIMMs, etc.) plugged into the formatter card and try again. If the problem persists and is application specific, verify proper setup with application vendor.

Defective Formatter PCA - Replace with known operational board and try again.
