My printer won't print directly from the computer??!?

So I have to print a tuition-pay paper for my sister because it's time to pay the tuition (so sort of say, I need to print an important document), but my printer is not working. It can print papers (the tester paper thing), it's working fine. The icon is showing up in the control panel -> printers and faxes folder. I have a HP PSC 1400 series, if that helps. But for some reason when I try to print directly off from the computer or the internet, nothing is printing. I was able to print something off a month ago, but now it's not working. All cables are plugged, the printer is on, it's just not printing directly from the computer when I do so. All lights on the printer are not blinking.

What could be the problem?

Kodak printer prints from glass. Is connected to the printer but when I have it hooked up to the laptop and ask it to print it won't do it?

Check the print spooler. Are documents getting hung up being sent to the printer?

Maybe its because after pressing print their comes an option to choose your printer or whether to save as PDF file.

so you should click on your printer and check whether your pc recognizes it.
