Hi,
I have an HP 6910p laptop running Windows XP Prof. SP2 with Acrobat 7.0 full version installed. I’m having problems printing a PDF file from this laptop to an HP Design Jet 1055C. Each time that I open the PDF and select the printer to print it hangs. Does anyone have an idea of what is going on here?

Thanks
George

Try using "Foxit reader" to read PDF files, it has less bugs than Acrobat.

Use Acrobat for creating them.

Adobe reader 5.0 had printing issues. Get version 8.0 and up and it will solve your problems. I suspect that the pdf print driver is corrupt. You can always re-install your HP and try printing.

This type. un-install your printer drivers completely. Remove the USB cable from the printer, power it on and re-install the softwre. The program will tell you when to re-connect your printer.

Re-connect it when it asks and let the installation complete itself. Reboot and windows will find your HP.

That procedure is the correct way of installing any HP product. I am sure that the PDF should work now.

Maybe you just need to restart your pc.

Turn off your printer; wait a few seconds and turn it back on.

Plug out your printer power supply; wait a few second and then plug in back in.

If your printer uses a USB cable; plus it out for a few seconds and then plug it back in.

If none of the above mention don't work, check help on the software you are trying to print from.
