Please make sure you read this before you respond with the basic advice to save my time and yours.

I have tried everything starting with canceling it in the print queue window to running the command prompt to clear the spools to no avail. I just tried to delete the printer from my computer, but it will not take until it deletes the job in queue. I have also tried shutting the printer down, my computer, and both simultaneously. What is the next step?

Instead of attempting to cancel the jobs in the spool you can restart the print spoiler itself.

Go to start, control panel, administrative tools, services, scroll down until you see print spooler, right click and press restart.

If this does not work you can turn off your computer and turn it back on. That simple solution worked for me once

go to control panel then admin tools open services find print spooler double click on it then choose stop and choose disabled. you should be able to delete the job in queue.once it is gone go back and change the print spooler back to how it was.
