Regardless of how the print lines up on the lined paper there are other issues you should be aware of:
Regular notebook lined paper is probably too thin and can cause:
-a) paper jams
-b) If used on an inkjet printer, ink bleed-through and ink spread causing poor print quality will be a very potential problem.
-c) If used on a laserjet printer, the printer uses a fuser to fuse the toner into the paper at high temperatures which could potentially burn the paper or damage the fuser.
Overall, it is not recommended to use paper other than paper designed for that particular printer type to prevent problems and potential damage. You can try it if you like, but at least you're aware of the potential risks.
Best of luck.

It will print but as the first person said it will be if the lines match the positioning of the lines of text that will be the issue. If not matched it will look awful. You would have to set your top and bottom margins to match the top/bottom width of the paper then set the line spaces to match the lines on the paper. If you can do that then it ill print as the printer does not discriminate against lined paper!

If you have Excel you can make your own lined paper. On the "A" column drag it to the right to the length you think you will need like 8.5 inches. Then block about 30 lines by holding down the mouse and going down 30 lines and then right clicking in the darkened area. You will see Format, click on Borders and be sure you hit the upper, middle and lower lines in the drop down area. After that, block the entire area again and right click on the left column where you see the 1.2.3 numbered area. You will see Row Height! Choose about 16 (you will see it is is default to 12.75). Every row should then be 16 size. Next, block again and go to "File - then print area - set print area. You should be able to then see print preview. If the printing is off the page you can delete a row or two until you get the lines on ONE page. Save this page for future use and you can print as many as you want.

Another issue to wary of is than many lined paper are hole punched. Holed papers do not always feed cleanly through the printer and often get jammed.

The only thing I can think of, would be that your lines of print would
not be on the paper lines. This might not look good, or may make it
hard to read.
