I have just purchased a new Epson printer but when I put the cd rom into the drive it will only go as far as the first NEXT icon which means it has only just started. Then the whole page hangs and I have to turn it off manually (Not the best practice)I have found out that my pc needs a Microsoft download which might do the trick butI have found an Error Ox80246002 but cannot find it on Microsofts site .What is it and how do I get round the error?

Maybe because if you entered it as you have shown it here that is not an "O" at the front but a "0"

Here is the error from Microsoft ►

Unfortunately, dear lady, the reason you couldn't find the error code on the Microsoft website is because you've used a letter O instead of the number 0 when you've tried to identify the problem. If you click on the link below, this will take you to the Microsoft web page where there's a whole list of pages that deal specifically with this error. (655 are listed.)

A quick glance seems to identify the problem as being something to do with Windows Update.

You don't indicate which version of Windows you have on your computer, but it may help to install Microsoft's latest Windows Installer. You can do this by clicking on the second link below, and then scrolling down the page to see which downloads you need.

go to epsoneurope.com look for download printer driver for your printer and download it onto your Hdrive, you could then load it and /or copy it to a cd disc
