How can I get my Brother printer/scanner to print from my netbook?

I've got a Brother MFC-7420, a "USB Composite Device," as the Control Panel puts it, and it'll connect with my netbook [Asus Eee PC, Windows 7 Starter] just fine to scan things, but I can't get it to print. It hooks up automatically and scans like a charm, but even after I downloaded the drivers off Brother's website, I still can't print. I go into Control Panel and it just gives me options for a scanner (Color Management, Scanning Profiles, things like that) and doesn't give me any access to the printer part at all. How can I get it to connect? When I hit 'Print' it gives me me some options, including 'Find Printer,' but I don't even know where the device would be to select it manually.

There's probably some really obvious answer here, but I just need some help getting connected.

You could try going to control panel <> click on printers/fax <> select your printer. My wife has a laptop and she uses her printer at home. When she's at the office she uses another printer. Of course she has both printers installed in her laptop. She just selects which one to use.

Ok, here's what you need to do. You need a 90's hard drive, a first generation laptop, an apple desktop, and a firepit. Combine all of the technology in the fire pit, douse it in gasoline, light it on fire, then strip naked and dance around the fire chanting prayers to the God Ellodisizteksupport. Your laptop will be fixed some time after the fumes have caused you to pass out.
