Question:
HP printer ink issue?
?

Just recently I bought, for the first time, non hp ink from Cartridge World for my hp printer. The ink worked for about 2 days, now my printer wont print anymore. It feeds the paper(looks as if it is printing), but when it comes out the paper is clean. I know the ink didn't run out in a 2 days.
From looking at previous answers, HP has been reported to say never to use non Hp ink for your printer, for it could damage the printer in the long run.
Have I somehow damaged my printer, or could I just possibly buy Hp ink again, and will be fine?

In your opinion, is this the cartridge or the printer that is causing the problem?

I ask because I don't want to waste the money to buy new ink, if my printer is broken.
Anything would be helpful! Thank you!

Your printer is fine. Refilled cartridges will not damage your printer nor will they void the warranty.

It'd definitely an issue with the cartridge. I'd recommend running your printer through some print head cleaning cycles. If that doesn't work, you may need to physically clean the cartridge by gently wiping it with alcohol or soaking the head in some warm water.

If none of this works, return the cartridge.

Your printers not broken.

The claim that refilling damages printers is a nonsense peddled by those that either sell an alternative that they want you to buy (IE reusable cartridges containing none original ink) or the manufacturer who want you to buy their expensive ink.

You may have a print head blockage and may need to run the cleaning cycles.

The ink may have dried on the cartridge and you need to soak in it a very shallow amount of hot water until the ink runs into the water. Do not submerge the circuitry in the water of it will be finished.

It could be a bad refill in which case you should take it back for a new one.

HP printers are very good at accepting and printing with refills and compatibles and all manufactures telling you the same as HP will tell you. That refills don't save you money and often fail.

I have been refilling for 6 years and never had issues.

I work for webinks.co.uk

The problem will be either you have air in your cartridge (The printer will act like it is printing but nothing comes out on the page)

Or the printhead on the cartridge is dead.(The printer will not try and print and the paper will go through in about a second.)

Either way I would take the cartridges back to them, to sort them out.

I can guarantee you there is nothing wrong with your printer, it is just the cartridges.

i dont really know if your printer is broken but if it is, i suggest that you buy a laser printer because the ink never dries out if you don't use it often and the cartridges last a lot longer, ive had my printer for 2 years now and it still isnt done!
