HP printer usb not recognized !!?

i have just bought a new hp printer cp1515n and i can not get it to work with windows 7 !!
I have installed the driver off HP website - which downloaded ok then everytime i plug my usb in and printer it comes up - usb not recognized !!!
So it wont print and comes up with an error on it !
I am not the best with computers but i have no idea what i am doing wrong - windows 7 refuses to recognize my usb printer !!
So upset now as i have been trawling the net for ages trying to find a solution and still no joy :(
Can any one help urgently before i through the thing out the window lol

You might try using a different USB cable...





Or disable the USB controller port in Device manager...





Or maybe the USB port of your printer is defective...

through fact they have under no circumstances been presented? Cords do no longer recognize. EDIT: If you just bought the printer it is under warranty. Talk to a HP technician for free assistance.
