Question:
Printer Spooler Problem!?

Trying to install a new Brother printer, and every time I reach the part about using a USB connection during the installation process, a notification comes up saying "Print Spooler service needs to be started". Thus, the installation process ends and I can't actually get the printer to work.

I'm installing it for my parents at their house as their most recent HP Printer began to have the same issues with the Printer Spooler.

Onto the real question... I have looked at other Yahoo! Answers and attempted the Run --> "services.msc" trick, but Printer Spooler never actually appears in the "Services" tab. I've also tried using the command prompt to start it back up, and that did not work either. What is the next step? Do I need to delete the old printer software before I continue? Any other ways to try and locate a Printer Spooler? Why would Printer Spooler just disappear?

Thanks!!

assuming you're using windows 7 try the link below.

Would have helped if you included the model of printer

There are a couple of problems that this article may help to solve:

you cannot add new printer

when you try to print, system fails

printer is added, but there are no entries in Printers and Faxes

following error appears: "Spooler subsystem app has encountered a problem and needs to close."

Print Spooler service doesn't start or stop

residing house windows XP or Vista. click start up>administration Panel>Administrative procedures>amenities; scroll-all the way down to "Print Spooler", click it in simple terms as quickly as, on the Left Pane you will see "supply up the Spooler" or "Restart the Spooler". If "Restart the Spooler" is shown, then click it. in any different case, supply up if first, then flow returned and Restart it.
